Boot Safe Mode and set the video mode to something that you know works with your monitor.
On the next normal boot, this mode will be used.
So my computers motherboard capped out, and a friend lent me his older computer to use until I could replace it. When I plug it into my monitor, I just get input not supported. It will start, load the initial windows starting screen but right before it hits the users page it goes to input not supported. I can load up the computer in safe mode with no problem, but the monitor does an auto configuration everytime the computer reboots. Anyone else ever dealt with this before? The computer was tested on his monitor and it works fine... I am using a dvi to vga adapter as monitor is only vga and computer is only dvi. Adapter works going into my television... just not monitor.
