Inpiron 1545 Typing lags

Oct 8, 2009 12:18AM PDT

Hi,
very frustruated with Dell and their support on this issue. I just bought a Dell Inspiron 1545 and have had it less than a week. I am expierencing typing delay, to the point that it will pause and think about it. I am not the fastest typest but the problem was getting worse.

I saw other threads that talked about this on other dell systems but their solution didnt make sense for mine since i didnt have the .exe file they said to disable.

any help would be great.

Thanks

Follow up with Dell technical support

Dell technical support seems to think that the key stroke delay was related to the tool bars loaded (google/yahoo) and it was primarily a internet explorer issue. I removed them but there still seems to be a delay. we did a reset of the ie 7 after removal.

this is still agrevating since i dont have that issue with my other computers.

Still searching for help.

Let's dismiss other computers.

The lesson is hard for some that if you load x, y and z on 10 machines, not all 10 will behave the same. If you think otherwise, please stop reading.

Ok, what's different from stock. Anything like Spybot, Adaware, Comodo or such? I can't guess what's installed, You must tell more.

Dismmiss other computers...

sorry you are right, i was just venting. the computer in question has Adaware on it, spybot and Malware to make sure, well as best as i can, that no virus or malwar is on the computer.

i downloaded them from filehippo.com and i dont belive my wife has had any chance to download any other application other than the tool bars. Yahoo is removed and it seems to be working better, with just an occasional key lagging issue.

Adaware and Spybot are well known here.
