Just be sure to backup a lot. I've tried that and it can corrupt the PST for almost no good reason.
Try this. Place a NET USE command in your startup script.
Bob
I have a peer-to-peer network running at home. It consists of 4 computers, each running Windows XP.
My new Vaio laptop connects to the network fine, but only after going through one failed attempt first.
For example, if I boot-up and start Outlook (my data is on another computer), I get a message that the data file can not be found, but I am presented with a dialog box showing the data file just fine. If I simply click on the data file things work fine. Once I do this, all other programs see the network. I must go through a similar process each time I boot-up before I can access the network.
My network settings indicate that my network drives should all be connected at logon. I don't know what else to do. This is very annoying.
Does anyone have a suggestion?
Thank you very much!
