Information on screen when "INFO" button is pressed

by unitedwestand212 / November 28, 2009 10:21 PM PST

Samsung LED TV
Model: UN40B6000VF

I have two questions on the information on screen after pressing the "INFO" button on the remote:

1. The TV is 120Hz, why does it say 60Hz on screen?

2. A box sometimes pops up in the lower right corner that displays a meter with LED on the left and conventional TV on the right. What is this box? I could not find anything in the manual.

Thank you,

1. That's the incoming signal. The television will always upconvert the signal to 1080p and 120Hz, but that process is done internally.

2. I'm not familiar with that box. Is it an on-screen menu perhaps for a cable/sat box or other attached device?

Power Meter

The little meter is an estimate of how much power the tv is consuming. It fluctuates depending on how much backlighting there is.
