I'm going back to school soon to continue my a levels. I need a laptop for my school work as my dad doesn't let me use his anymore. I just need some advice about processors and about the memory of laptops. I'm not sure if I3 or I5 will be suitable. The program's I want to use the laptop for are . . .
Microsoft Word, PowerPoint Etc
Google SketchUp
I will also use the laptop for browsing the internet and check my emails at hotmail. My question therefore is will I3 be suitable as it's cheaper or I5? I also have a £500 budget. It would also be great if some

A student was using a Core 2 Duo machine. Since the i3 is more than the old C2D (you can look with cpuboss.com) this must not be an i3 vs. i5 question but what you want for speed and such.

I see 500USD i5 machines so in Euros my bet is you might find same.
