If it is the same as the LG 44" DLP, it is a nice entry level unit. You might see some rainbow issues with it. ( remember, some people see it, most don't)
As far as the Samsung, if it is the 4663 series it uses the econmy TI chipset. I would look at the 467w by Samsung, it has the HD2+ chipset but is a little more money.
I am looking for ANY info. on the newly U.S. introduced Toshiba 44" DLP. I finally got Toshiba to admit that it was made by LG, originally introduced in Canada by Toshiba and does not have the Toshiba proprietary TALEN light engine technology. They couldn't tell me WHAT technology it employs! There are no reviews anywhere. If anyone has any other info. or owns this TV, please post. We have actually already purchased it, but it won't be delivered until the 18th and we may want to go with the Toshiba 46" w/TALEN instead. The salesman told us that the Samsung 46" DLP has dropped in quality of late and he didn't recommend it (although he would've made more commission!) Thanks for any help.
