Question

Info on Registrar Registry Manager Professional 7.52

Jun 18, 2013 5:48PM PDT

Hi

I installed Registrar Registry Manager Professional 7.52.752.30510 on Windows 8 64-bit.

I have created two backups of its registry but now I do not know how to compare them in order to analyze their differences. Someone is able to explain this?

Thanks

Bye

Doesn't the built-in help tell you how the "advanced registry compare" works?

If the backup file can be read with Notepad (that's easy to check) Winmerge (free download) might be useful to compare the two files.

Why would you want to know what's the same?

Seems odd to me why I'd want that. Maybe you have a reason to look at the unchanged, same entries but didn't tell?

I have created two backups of a registry.

So, in order to compare two hives, I have opened these two hives, I opened the "Advanced Registry Compare" tab and I said to analyze the two hives to find their differences.

Now, the program has analyzed the two hives but, then, it has displayed both equal elements and different ones. How come? Where I'm wrong?

So, I would like to know what is the proper procedure to analyze two hive so that the program will only display their differences?

Thanks

Unless your posts happens to be read by a member who also uses this program (seems rather unlikely) your best bet seems to be support of the maker: http://www.resplendence.com/support

I think you have to ask this software's maker.

But if you did export them to text files I can give a nod to Winmerge (which was free the last I looked) to do the compare.
