Info needed ASAP RE:Video editing software

by KnightGames / December 23, 2006 3:09 AM PST

OK, this may sound like a stupid question, but I am very new to this. I am going to purchase a Panasonic GS300 MiniDV camcorder and was thinking of purchasing Sonys Vegas Movie Studio+DVD Platinum to use for editing ( checked out Pinnacle too but a bit wary of the program freezing probs I read about). Heres my question, will the Sony Vegas work with a Panasonic camcorder? Any input recieved ASAP would be greatly appreacitaed as I am going to order everything tonight ( Best Buys sale on the GS300 ends tonight).

Thank You in advanced

It doesn't have to. Here's my method.

I use a FIREWIRE CONNECTION then WINDV to capture to my working file for the video edit phase. There has never been a need for me to have any camcorder work with the video editor.

As long as you have the Firewire connection

on your computer it will work just fine, any Firewire capable camcorder will connect directly into Sony Vega Movie Studio 6.0 into the project you are working on.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
