AVG Free and paid are using the same virus database for AVG Resident Shield (E-mail scanner, in paid Online Shield).

As new variants of infections are released every moment. It could happen the new variant is not caught by AVG virus laboratory in time and it is helpful to provide us with undetected sample for closer analysis.
