Resolved Question

Inexpensive point-and-shoot with non-reflective screen?

Aug 27, 2014 10:42AM PDT

The battery compartment door on my little Nikon Coolpix L11 point-and-shoot camera has broken and I'd like to get a new camera. I've had issues with my cellphone camera and I already have a dSLR camera, which is too large to carry easily in my purse.

I have looked around and can't find a camera that has a non-reflective screen. I hate using a camera in bright sunlight where I can't see my subject - only a reflection of my face. I know there are adhesives you can use but that would be a last resort.

Does anyone have a camera to suggest? I'd appreciate any input. I don't know where to start on the Web, with all the different kinds of cameras.

Thank you. Happy

Scarce as hens teeth, I didn't know any small point-and-shoot cameras had viewfinders. I like this feature. Thanks for the information on the Canon A1400. I've purchased one.
