Inexpensive 240fps/480p camera - What should I be looking at

Mar 15, 2012 6:32AM PDT

I do not know anything about them, just want to use it to record a pitching motion. Probably will not take any pictures.

I may be mistaken, but I am not sure there are any cameras that can record at 240fps at 480p. Inexpensive cameras trade off resolution for speed, because the chip inside the cameras are not powerful, and high fps eats up a lot of memory. I think the best you can expect at 480p is 120fps.

Films you see with high quality slow motion video are either made with specialized high speed cameras, or created after-the-fact in processing with programs such as Final Cut Pro.

Umm. I was not aware of that.

I will try to explain more. I have plenty of light, am not too concerned with quality (would prefer 480p - less would be okay), and slowing it in a program would be okay. I just want the result.

I am only using it a few times to track changes so something like a couple hundred dollars would be great.

Something this clear would be ideal - thanks for looking out!

$150! Thank you very much.

That 300hs will do just fine - I think.
