The software is not bug free and I see no real support from that company. Just try to remove yourself from it since it's not going to be fixed anyday soon.

In closing, the software is a possible security leak so it's not allowed at home or office. At the office, the email is stripped to plain text and attachments (which are then scanned with the antivirus program.)

So senders in incredimail do all that for nothing for the office...

At the time I tried Incredimail, I found it to be such a resource hog. It made my system slow and in general bog things down. It did do fanastic with mail though, but then I found it communicated with the mothership and I dropped it. I removed it and things went back to normal. I ran spyware to do a final cleaning and all is well. Its supposed to have cleaned-up thier act, but I usually don't return to s/w once they've done that. Why should I trust them.

good luck -----Willy

Incredimail : spyware free or not ?
Aug 13, 2005 5:39AM PDT

Hi all,

I have been using IncrediMail for several years now.
I heard some rumors it has spyware in it.
I scan regularly with Spybot Search & Destroy and Ad-Aware , but a few things are found, but nothing harmful.

Can someone tell me if IncrediMail is spyware-free or not ?

Thank you.

Greetings ,

Incredimail

Have been using Incredimail free version for a few years and find it easy to use and so far simple and trouble free.
The choice of fonts and backgrounds plus Emoticons even in the free version makes emailing a pleasure. When travelling use your normal ISP in the browser enter your email name and passwords and access your mail in original format, have done this all over the world with no problem.I also have Yahoo and Hotmail addresses for financial-Paypal reasons etc and find using them far more unfriendly to use.

You're replying to a post over a year old...almost two years for the original topic... plus you didn't answer the question asked for which you responded.(Spyware free or not?)..

Strange..
