This is one of the reasons I no longer use/install DirectCD, DLA, InCD, FileCD and others like it. Such have failed me from time to time. Since it only seems to be 99.99% reliable, that isn't good enough.
Try this:
1. Download to the hard disk and then to the CDRW
2. Remember that ANY download accelerator can corrupt downloads.
3. Try it with Firefox (the web broswer.)
Bob
I have Windows ME,InCD Version 4054, and I just formatted a cd-rw disk. I then downloaded a program(setup.exe file) from the internet directly
to the cd-rw disk but when I tried to install it I got this error message:
(exe is not a valid Win 32 application).
After the download is complete the icon on the cd-rw disk looks weird it looks like a ie browser web page. The thing is if I restart my pc and pop in the cd-rw disk it works, the icon looks normal and it will
install. I should not have to restart my pc every time I download a program onto my cd-rw disk. That's not the way it should be there's
something wrong somewhere!
I have tried this with several different downloads and I still get the exact same error message.
Do you know what might be causing this to happen?
Thank you:
Jim
