Question

inability to connect wirelessly to my smart Samsung TV

I have been streaming for four years on my 8000 series plasma and suddenly it stopped connecting. Signal strength is very good but it just won't connect. I have always used automatic mode but this time I tried that and manually entering the wireless data.

Then, if it still doesn’t work, make certain all devices in chain have up to date firmware.

Going with an ethernet (wired) connection is preferable if an option on your 8000.

As time passes there are more and more WiFi things. Also there can be an outright failure in a board or other. Test with an Ethernet cable next.

Samsung wireless

I repeatedly tried all of the normal solutions and the 8000 series doesn't have an ethernet connection. The wireless connection is at the top of the fan so signal strength doesn't seem to be the problem. I thought about the circuit board having failed but haven't taken any action on that. If no solution is found I have one of the last of the plasma TV's for sale.

That's bad.

I've yet to encounter a Samsung Smart TV without Ethernet. Not that I don't believe you but there is a better exit. Go get a Roky, Amazon or Apple box or stick. It will be quite the upgrade.
