Question

In word 2003 the equation editor opens in same window

Nov 15, 2014 1:18AM PST

I installed a new computer. in word 2003 i want that when i insert an equation with the equation editor it will open in a separate window. there there are more tools available, i can customize the tool bar. it also shows in bigger font since i see only the equation and not the whole page.
But now it opens in the same word window. i see the whole page and the equation editor toolbar is minimal.

I'm sure someone could code that up but I went and double checked and could not get the effect I think you are looking for. Video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxNZz0rO5ww shows what happens as we get into and out of an equation box.
