disables your protection. The first thing I would do is goto to Programs and features in control panel and order by date. See if there is something installed that you don't use or know about. If you order by date you can look to around the date when you first noticed this.
Just updated windows 10 on two computers. One no problem but on one I can now no longer open Windows Defender. I get prompts to open it but when I try if comes on and goes right back off again
It tells me my PC is not being monitored because the app's service stopped that I should restart if but when I do it comes on for a minutes and shuts back off. Me real time protection will not turn on When I go to control panel it tells me "this app has been turned off and is not monitoring your computer" I am not using some other software for virus protection but from what I can find others are having this problem.
