Jesus identified such some years ago.

John 8:44 "You are from your father the Devil, and you wish to do the desires of your father. That one was a murderer when he began" He was addressing the mainstream religious leaders of his day.

Some feel that this increase of lawlessness is a sign of the end. One of our recent magazines addresses this.

See especially the subhead WHAT THE END IS, which is related to your post.

This isn't going to get any better with the majority

of the world's leaders...including our own US president...sitting on their hands. What is happening isn't without precedent. It was somewhere around 1400 years ago and it took 300-400 years for someone to stand up to them. We all now how today's history records the highlights and outcome of that. Dare we think it could happen again?

And to add

You're right...and the operative word is "their" (religion). I can't think of another religious practice that suggests that those not of its faith are unworthy of life. There are practices that defend the value of life from its earliest detection until its last. That is one thing the secular world does not do. The secular world has its own set of cruelties...most of which evolve around exploitation of the weakest. It's been written that the some king named Hammurabi tried to address that some 3700 or so years ago and that many of his principles exist to this day. Strangely, we call his area of influence the "cradle of civilization" which near to or part of the area ISIS operates today.

What about the progroms against the Jews

not to mention the Crusades?

Why don't you tell about that

rather than ask me? Tell what you've been taught and believe happened. Tell who you believe were the aggressors and victims. Give good evidence if you can.

OK, what about them?

There's plenty of history about it available. Did you forget to include the Muslim crusades that preceeded the Catholic crusades?
