Creative is well known for there sound quality and how dangerously loud they can be. The V plus is a great flash player that has video and photo which you say you dont need but a nice little extra. I really dont know what your truly looking for in a player so it's really you having to do some research.
Not so long ago i purchased a higly-praised Samsung YP-Z5F, mostly because of it's stated sound quality, but got really disappointed. At first, the player was no louder or better sounding than my previous iRiver T30 or iRiver N10 (output around 15mW, compared to 20 mW of Samsung), and above that the memory was corrupted, leaving only around a half of the capacity available. So eventually after trying to fix the problems by myself I had to sell it.
Now i am looking for a good, reliable, really LOUD player (so it could pump those big headphones well), preferablly on flash memory (2-4 Gb), with a nice screen (a monochrome would do) and a satisfactory battery life. I'm like torn between Ipod, Creative and iAudio Cowon players, don't know what to chose.
Thanks in advance
