In need of desperate help!!!!!!!

May 17, 2012 12:26AM PDT

I originally had a itunes account
This had all my purchased music, videos etc.
My mother in law then purchased an iphone but did not have an itunes account and so i set up her iphone using mine.
She later purchased an ipad and created her own itunes account. The ipad and iphone were then synchronised together in some way.
In doing so my account became unavailable/deleted? all my music transferred onto her account.
I tried to reset the password but never received an email. I also tried to reset the password using my details but these were also not recognised.
It seems that there has been some sort of account merge or one has overwritten the other?
My ipod is also now registered to my mother in law.
I was really hoping that the accounts could be separated so that i do not lose all my music or even if i could create a new account and the music be transferred to mine? I'm not sure if this is even possible?
I have recently purchased an ipad but am unable to use it as i didn't want to create a new apple id in case my original account could be saved.
If I create a new apple id with the same email address, stated at the beginning, will this create even more problems?

You can probably thank your Mother in Law for the mix up, I think she may have said Yes when she should have said No to a question about the accounts.
