In-Ear Earphones with volume and track control & microphone

Apr 20, 2010 8:35AM PDT

Hi there, I am looking to buy some earphones for my iPod Touch. I am addicted to using the buttons on the headphones included with the iPod, but find them of a low audio quality. I am looking for headphones with the same controls with a higher quality, and noise insulation. I have looked around and found the following:

Comply NR-10i High-Tech Noise Reduction Earphones w/Mic
Klipsch Image S4i Earphones with Microphone
Bose Mobile In-Ear Headphones with Mic
Skull Candy 50/50

Some of these don't have volume controls thought. I am open to suggestions. I mainly listen to classical and rock music, so i need a good range of audio quality, and headphones that can block out noise and retain it too. I can spend up to $120.
Thanks for your help.

In-Ear Earphones with volume and track control & microphone

I found an earphone remote control made by iLUV model no: iEA15 that has all the controls except the microphone but do have a "voice over control" when used with IPOD shuffle 3rd gen. I paid $9.99 for mine and it works well enough for my purpose. It's about 6-inches in length and hooks up in between your IPOD and earphone....

volume control adapter

I found an adapter the other day that has volume controls on it and will work with any headphones. The idea is, you just plug your regular phones into it, then plug it into the iPod, and you've got volume controls. Anyway, it's in the apple store under iPod accessories.

note, I haven't actually tried it, so I'm not sure how well it works.
