Improving poor images

Apr 22, 2010 5:07PM PDT

Hi everybody -

I've been using MS Digital Image Pro and it does everything I want except enhance overall image quality. I see software on crime TV shows that enhance poor picture quality like from security cameras etc. It's something better than sharpen or blur. Is there software out there that will allow me to do this at a reasonable cost - maybe even free?

Thanks in advance

You can do things like alter contrast, colors, and sharpness to improve photos. In some cases it can make a significant difference. But nothing like on TV.

You can use various photo editing software to do that task. But i think photoshop is best software to do any type of photo editing. But for that you require some basic knowledge and you can get that knowledge easily from internet.

Use Picnik

Photoshop is great if you know what you're doing but for a free fix use Picnik. www.picnik.com. I have my class of high school students use it to color correct photos using the auto correct setting.
Definitely the best free photo program out there right now.
