Importing to outlook from outlook express

by Skyeness / December 29, 2009 2:50 AM PST

We bought a new Windows 7 machine and wanted to use Outlook for the email. Is there any way to get the messages from the old XP machine that used Outlook Express? I've seen the suggestions about putting the old .dbx and .wab files on the new machine but Outlook still won't import anything......

Thanks for the help - I did manage to get the contact list imported but Windows 7 only seems to know about Windows Live Hotmail (not plain WLM) and Windows Hotmail won't import messages - unless I'm missing something...

WLM is a free download ...

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
