Re: copying favorites

Mtbarbee,

I've an older version of Firefox (0.Cool here, but if the following way doesn't work, post it, and I'll try with 1.0.4 upstairs tomorrow (it's nearly midnight here).

In Firefox from the menu choose Bookmarks>Bookmarks Manager, then File>Export. This puts the whole structure in one file called bookmarks.htm. Then in IE use File>Import and Export and choose to import the favorites from that file.

I've tried it the other way around, and that works. It's a real miracle, that both programs use the same standard for the lay-out of this file. I even got the expression (but I'm not sure of that) that originally it was a Netscape standard. When Microsoft came with IE they had to provide a tool to transfer peoples favorites from Netscape (then used by 90% of the people) to IE (then used by nobody).

Hope this helps.
