Question

iMovie won't share

Jan 16, 2012 6:25AM PST

I've spent countless hours creating a 50 minute long movie using iMovie including pictures, video clips, and songs and now it won't share to iDVD. I've tried to look up similar issues on forums and have tried importing with iDVD, turning the energy saving setting off, and "sharing" with the media browser. Every time I try it gets almost to the end of the 45 minutes it says it will take and then shuts down with an error message. I've spent too much time on this project to let it go. I need it on DVD to send to the grandparents. Apple is not helpful unless I pay a hefty price which I'm not willing to do since I don't even know if they CAN help me. I don't want to lose this project or dismantle it into separate movies because that esentially means starting over. How can I get iMovie to play nice and "share" with iDVD?

error message

It says iMovie quit unexpectedly and then a bunch of gibberish that is too long for this post. It won't let me copy and paste it. I'm going to stop by the apple store since they won't let you talk to someone on the phone unless you fork over a bunch of cash.

It might be helpful if you tell the error message in stead of keeping that knowledge secret.

I can't

It says quit unexpectedly and this won't let me copy and paste the gibberish. I'll just go to the apple store.
