Question

iMovie iDVD help

May 1, 2013 9:44PM PDT

I have been using iMovie and iDVD since 2007 with few problems, however, I just finished a movie just under an hour using video and still pictures. Everything is fine in iMovie, but when I use iDVD to burn it, there is duplication in the sound, sometimes no sound, sometimes no picture. I checked carefully in iMovie, but no problems there. Any idea about what I have done wrong?
The programs above came with my Mac Tiger when I bought it in 2007
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Then it's probably time to update them.

iLife 11 is the current version of the suite.

When you play back the movie in iMovie, is there the slightest suggestion that the sound is going to be a problem?
Stuttering, fading, etc.
Export it into iDVD, add your titles and menus and, instead of producing a DVD, save it to a Disk Image. It is one of the options in the menubar.
It takes just as long but you don't eat up all those DVD's.
Launch the image and play the contents with the DVD player.

If it's any good, use Toast to burn it as a UDF disc, dragging the Video_TS and Audio_TS folders into Toast.

thank you. No, there is no suggestion whatsoever that there is any problem with sound or video. The sound in the DVD is as if there is another file superimposed over the main one, yet nothing in iMovie, iMovie sounds perfect. I will try your other suggestions and let you know how it goes. Thank you1
