I have a bunch of clips that are tagged as .wmv, however I cannot get Imovie to recognize or open them. What can I do?

" I have a bunch of clips that are tagged as .wmv"
This is .wmv is Windows format and they need to be converted into .avi. Do you have Quicktime Pro you may be able to convert them.
I have never had to do this. I googled wmv. to .mov and got a lot of hits, but the programs were for Windows.
If I was at church where I have a Mac I would try.
Maybe post this in the Mac form. Johh

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
