Image Upload for my Website users!

May 31, 2007 5:51PM PDT

Currently I'm running my website through FrontPage 2003. Is there any sort of script or programs that allow users to upload their images to my computer through my website or am I just being to ambitious. Running Windows XP if that has any impact. I not, can you suggest any other methods of me getting the images? Suggestions are greatly appreciated!

No local (i.e. html or javascript) way to upload pictures to the server. That needs server side programming, not Frontpage (which is merely a way to make webpages). And of course you need server side file storage.
Any website where you can send your jpg's to get them printed shows that it can be done. But the shop I recently used needed to install an ActiveX control on my PC to handle it. And I'm sure they don't use Frontpage to build their side.

Do I understand correctly that your own Windows XP PC hosts the website? Or do you have a hosted website and want to use that to have users put pictures on your (home or business) PC. How's the protection against intruders? You wouldn't like trojans and mailbots installed, would you?

Wrongly Phrased

Sorry, wrongly phrased. I'm wanting to allow users to upload files/images to a protected web storage area (directly through my site) that only I can access. This may be an easier option. Can this be achieved through FrontPage?
