Image transfer help needed

May 18, 2007 9:39PM PDT

I'm thinking of buying a digital photo frame. My problem is that the images I would want to use with it are already downloaded onto my laptop and the memory disc has been erased. Is there an easy way for a digitally challenged person like myself to transfer the images back to the SD card in order to use them in the frame?

Writing to SD card

You need a card reader that connects to your USB connector.

You can find these for about $20 at any store that sells digital cameras.

After you install the card reader on your computer, insert your SD memory card in the card reader.

The computer will see the card as being a hard disk.
Use "My Computer" and you find your new hard disk (memory card).

Now use "Windows Explorer" to move your picture files from the computer to the memory card.

Transfer Direct to Photo Frame

The alternative would be to buy something like the Phillips digital photo frames as they have a USB port for you to connect directly to a PC to download the photos.
