I would tell you to look at the Canon SD880. It's pretty fast, has a pretty decent IS, ultra-compact, and has good image quality. You can't push the issue with no flash on any point and shoot because the shutter might need to stay open too long.
I am interested in purchasing a new digital camera. I have a physical issue where I am always a little bit shaky and it really seems to mess with my photography. If I try to take pictures without a flash... well, forget about it.
I was hoping someone would be able to recommend me a camera for under about $300 that has excellent image stabilization.
I do not need a lot of other fancy things, though I think touch screens are cool and I would like a reasonably quick picture-taking speed (I am not sure about the technical term for this). Additionally, I would like a nice, compact camera.
