image and video editing

hi I have a hp laptop windows 7 64bit 3gb of ram intel core i3 m350 2.27ghz with a resolution set at 1366x 768 intel hd graphics.

with this sort of spec what video and image editing can I expect to do ?
and can anybody recommend a good laptop for image a video editing ? thanks

You can do it all today.

My first video editing laptop was the Acer ter-600. That had a 600MHz Pentium 3 with 512MB RAM and such. To render a DVD took 6 hours. It worked then and your machine has 6 times the RAM and about 4 times the CPU speed.

Your machine may not be the fastest but it will do it.
