you will need those to do a number of things, including installing games for the boy.
If you still have the 10.3 installation disc, I would suggest that you boot from it and do an "Archive and Install" to get you back to a working state.
The Archive and install will Archive all the accounts and the data contained therein, put a clean version of the system onto that disk and then move the accounts and data back to where they were.
Archive and Install is an option during the install process. If I remember correctly, you will find it under Options a couple of pages into the install dialog

I'm trying to clean off any old files from my iMac running 10.3.9 and there are two users/Admin profiles. I got all of the files off one, but when I log into the other I get the spinning beach ball.
When I pull up the dock, it says that Finder is not responding... I can't grab the files w/o Finder.
I'm hoping to grab some data files off before I turn it over to my 3 yr old to play games on.
Any help would be great!
