Question

I'm ready to migrate to an SSD. What ELSE should I know?

Jan 7, 2016 2:25PM PST

I have a 60GB SSD on it's way to add to my 120GB HDD. I have done my homework. I've picked a free reliable migration tool and researched setting up Win7 with OS and programs on the SSD and user data on the HDD. Are there any other tips, tricks, or tweaks I should know to make the process fast and easy and to get the most out of my SSD?

I ordered a 500GB SSD for 120USD. I can't guess why you picked such a tiny drive given the costs today. Anyhow most models offer a download to clone the drive. Use that.

Best bang for the buck.

The SSD is going in a ThinkCentre I bought used for $99 three years ago. I don't need 500GB and don't want to spend more than the machine cost in the first place. When I found an on-line deal for the 60GB SSD for $19 I did the math and figured it would do everything I needed it to do.
