Illustrator...easy question

by marcelomdsc / July 21, 2007 10:28 AM PDT

hello, I'm trying to remember how to do a cool effect using illustrator...check out the example...
http://www.studios29.com/test/logo.jpg
the effect allows you to move the text around with some of the letters inside the box, and only the parts of the text inside the box will have the color of the background, even if a letter is half way in.

I'm using illustrator CS3, but i know that works in cs2 too.

thanks.

marcelomdsc. You can do this with any version of Illustrator out there.
Take your text and change it to outlines. Fill the letters stu with white and place a black box behind it.
Pretty simple. You do not need CS at all.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
