IIA funds anti-virus website

Feb 8, 2004 10:37PM PST

AUSTRALIA'S ISPs have called on local internet users to better protect themselves from viruses and worms, setting up a website that lets users download trial versions of anti-virus software.

The Internet Industry Association (IIA) - hoping to build on its popular No Spam initiative - has established a No Virus site offering free downloads of packages from McAfee, Trend Micro, Norman Antivirus and BitDefender.

The software is available at http://www.iia.net.au/novirus
