Plane Carrying Kennedy Hit by Lightning

BOSTON
A plane carrying U.S. Sen. Edward M. Kennedy from western Massachusetts to his home on the coast was struck by lightning Saturday and had to be diverted to New Haven, Conn., his spokeswoman said.
The eight-seat Cessna Citation 550 plane lost all electrical power, including communications, and the pilot had to fly the plane manually, according to spokeswoman Melissa Wagoner. No one was hurt.

Are you getting as soaked as we are?
It's NOT going to be fun mowing this lawn if/when it ever dries out! As the hubby said, we're practically able to watch it grow right now it's going so fast! When it ever stops raining I'm gonna be afraid of the tractor sinking into the lawn and getting stuck! Cornfields in the area look more like swamps right now!
Watching the Yankee game on TV today. Yesterday it was also on and a gorgeous day there. Unusual for us to get such bad weather without it being at least a bit soggy in NYC, but on the radar it was parked out over the edge. The announcers were baffled at them postponing the Boston game 5 hours ahead of gametime yesterday. Apparently they weren't watching the Weather Channel!

Haven't mowed sat all this year. Repair guy coming tomorrow. Should be fun.

Took a drive earlier and aw some roaring culverts but no real flooding. I guess the rest of the state is getting hit hard. Not even raining here any more (for now).
Hope they don't cancel school tomorrow.

I was reading over my son's shoulder that the Ba'ath Party of Syria and Iraq (Saddam's party) was founded on the principles of National Socialism ie Nazi-ism in 1947. What a brilliant source, base your hopes on a party that's already been defeated and discredited once, and will be again.

is with Teddy Kennedy. Jesus talked about a person who said "I'm glad I'm not as bad as that lousy sinner!" Jesus said the person was missing the point, and was in deep trouble himself.
However, sometimes, in His mercy, God does warn us about the brevity of life, and the judgement to come if we continue to reject Him.
