Question

If the audio format is changed from low 2 hi will it improve

Mar 30, 2015 6:44AM PDT

I'm wondering if I import songs off of albums from cd's onto my computer using apples 'flawless' format and thus using a lot more space, if it will actually make a difference or if that song had to be recorded in that format origionaly in order to receive the benefit.

That includes any format upgrade for that matter. Does upgrading any audio format into a higher quality format impact it's playback?

To this. Yes.

Any transcoding is going to have an impact. What we do know is you can add quality back in. At best you can preserve it. And if we use noise reduction, image correction, who is to say or write it's closer to the original?

I like that, hehe. Only Apple can come up with that.

I would think it would sound just as good as the cd album. Why not give it a try, and you be the judge. Have fun.
