Interesting article and spot on about pot.

I have my doubts about the amount of seniors who will be using the harder stuff simply because drugs like crack and heroin don't let many live to old age. Still, I know a large number of 50-somethings who smoke pot more so than I know 30 and 20-somethings.

Question is are they smoking...

by choice or because of addiction? I know plenty of folk who would never think they were an alcoholic but have 2 or 3 cocktails after getting home each day.

Of course the heroin, cocaine, crack users are in a league of their own.

Seems to me, if someone is getting high...

every day of their life, they are addicted, no matter what the drug. And most of the potheads I know do it several times a day, or suffer between the times when they can toke up.

Even back when I used to smoke pot I was alway skeptical of the "it's not addictive" claim. I knew people who were high every hour of every day.
