IF IWAS TO CHOOSE THE SMALLEST AND LIGHTEST CAMCORDER WHAT W

Hmmm,
Well only having previously owned a couple of cheapies i am probably not the best person to advise.
I have recently brought a JVC GZ-MC500AA Camcorder.
Many have bagged the unit and mainly because of it's price. By this i mean it's RRP in Australia is $2800, alot of $$$$, being these figures puts it up against some steep competition ! Well it depends what you want and what you want it for ?
I brought mine brand new in the box from JB HI-FI for $1900AUD, bargin.
I wasn't looking for a serious machine rather the smallest most comact unit i could get with the best quality and easiest to use.
I don't think anyone would question the unit for winning the smallest department, the unit is tiny !
Very light and so easy to use it's not funny.
Could have a few small things addressed, could be a little better in the low light area. Has poor battery and storage capacity, about an hour out of each.

All round, i selected this camcorder as the smallest unit with the best amount of features and quality i could get for $2000AUD.

I thinks it's great for my applications. I went into the city for new years, threw the camcorder in my pocket. Pulled it out, pressed two or three buttons and shot a decent film of the fireworks and atmosphere. Camcorder back in the pocket and then hit the clubs.
Awesome, depends what your looking for and how much you wish to $$$$$

Regards

Stephen
