In closing, you may have run all, but did you run the list I noted as well as post your HIJACKTHIS log to a HJT forum?

Explorer shuts dow intermittently while browsing or trying to go to the Windows update site. Have tried previous suggestions of unchecking 'allowing third party extensions' and restarting. Have run all Ad-Aware, AntiVirus and Spyware scans. Here is the error message when I hit 'Alt D': IEXPLORE caused an invalid page fault in
module MSHTML.DLL at 0187:636aea4a.

Downloading Internet Explorer 6.0 didn't fix it either. I started out with Internet Explorer 5.5 but have at some point been able to upgrade to my current version of 6.0.2800.1106IS, includes Service Pack one. I understand that I can use Firefox, but I need Internet Explorer for my windows updates at least.
