IE8 Windows 7 64 BIT

A friend of mine is currently running Google Chrome web browser. He wants to download IE8 Windows 7 64 BIT. He says he gets a message that it's incompatible. I think he may be trying to download the wrong version. Could someone post a link to IE8 Windows 7 64BIT. I don't see this version listed.
