IE8 SEARCH RESULTS IN A BAR ON THE LEFT SIDE LIKE IE6.

by JEFFREY.JONES / October 13, 2009 10:22 PM PDT

I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IF THERE IS A WAY TO GET MY SEARCH RESULTS TO SHOW UP IN A "TOOL BAR" LIKE BOX ON THE LEFT SIDE LIKE IE6 WOULD HAVE THEM. I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL THINGS AND NO SUCCESS. I KNOW THE HISTORY AND FAVORITES BAR COME UP AND I LOVE THAT PART BUT WANT SEARCH RESULTS TO DISIPLAY IN THE SAME MANNER. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR TIME AND HELP. (PLEASE CORRECT MY TERMINOLOGY AND/OR REFERENCES IF THEY'RE WRONG. A TEACHABLE SPIRIT IS CRUCIAL IN LIFE. TYPE IN CAPS FOR EASIER READING. SORRY)

All Caps Are Hard To Read For Me But...
by Grif Thomas Forum moderator / October 16, 2009 12:58 PM PDT

...have you tried opening IE8, then click on "View" in the upper left, choose "Explorer Bars", then select "Research" ? Does that get what you want ?

So is your spirit 'teachable'?

Hope this helps.

IE6 RESULTS
by JEFFREY.JONES / October 26, 2009 1:17 AM PDT

THAT IS ALSO A NEAT FEATURE BUT IT DOES NOT ALLOW THE SEARCH RESULTS TO BE DISPLAYED ON THE LEFT SIDE SO THAT ONE CAN EASILY CLICK THE RESULTS AND GO FROM ONE TO THE NEXT WITHOUT HAVING TO NAVIGATE BACK TO THE SEARCH RESULTS SCREEN. IN OTHER WORDS, IN IE6, YOU WOULD CLICK SEARCH AND THE SEARCH BAR WOULD COME UP ON THE LEFT SIDE. YOU WOULD KEY IN YOUR SEARCH IN THE SEARCH WINDOW AND THEN THE RESULTS WOULD APPEAR BELOW. THEN YOU COULD CLICK ON EACH RESULT WITHOUT HAVING TO NAVIGATE BACK TO THE RESULT SCREEN. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP. AND YES. MY SPIRIT IS TEACHABLE. THE HOLY BIBLE TEACHES ME DAILY. THANKS FOR ASKING.

The Samsung RF23M8090SG

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
