IE8 doesn't work properly with ebay

I am baffled. When I upgraded from IE6 to IE8 months ago, I could never get it to work properly with ebay. When I try to enlarge a picture on an ebay listing, or other functions, I get a message at the bottom of the page javascript:; nothing happens. I am running AOL 9.1, but even if I open IE 8 outside of AOL I get the same problem. Ebay is of no help. Firefox works fine with full functionality on the ebay listings. I'm running XP on a PC
