I'm using IE8 with Vista SP2. I LOVE IE8, BUT every now and then my entire system crashes. I'm on a website and suddenly my screen goes black. Next a blue screen comes up saying "initiating crash dump". Then my computer restarts giving me the option of restarting in safe mode. I checked out IE8 problems on the Microsoft website, but it just has options for IE8 restarting or shutting down certain webpages with instructions about compatability mode. It's not just a matter of shutting down websites, but my entire system. When I looked under the help section on VISTA and typed "crash dump", the only things that came up were about IE8 (which is why I KNOW that's what's causing my problem). None of the problems mentioned are the problem I'm experiencing.
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
