IE7 Question on TABS

Oct 26, 2006 7:49AM PDT

Hi all,

I just upgraded to IE7 from IE6. Just a quick question, I like the TABS in IE7, is there a way when I click on a "NEW TAB" that it opens something other than ABOUT:BLANK? My homepage or is there a way to set another page I often use when I click on new tab when I have other pages open?

Thanks for any help,
Steve

Sure is...

You can change the default page that opens for new tabs by going Tools->Internet Options, selecting the General tab, and clicking Settings in the Tabs section. The last option in the first section can be checked so that your homepage is opened instead of a blank page. If you have multiple homepages set up it will only open the first one.

Hope this helps,
John

It worked. Think you for reminding me how to do this. I greatly appreciate it.

Tools, Internet Options, Tabs Setting Didnt work for me
Mar 31, 2007 11:43PM PDT

John,
I tried this fix (tools internet options tabs settings clicking) and it did not work for me. I also uninstalled and reinstalled IE7.

Is there a regristry entry that will force this? I know you provided a registry fix in another thread (runonce2.aspx problem)so maby you would know of one for this problem

thanks in advance
