IE7 Favorites

by volvogirl / October 15, 2009 7:38 AM PDT

I have a lot of favorites in IE7. Organized into many folders. One folder I use a lot everyday. Sometimes after I've expanded that folder and picked a link then the next time that folder won't expand at all. And I can't get to the links. I even renamed it so it's in a different place higher up in the favorite list. All the other folders will open or expand. Any one got any ideas?

I'm stumped.

My first guess would be an Add-on problem. Internet Explorer problems can often be traced back to add-ons, BHOs, (Browser Helper Objects), ActiveX, and so on, but I can't see why such an add-on would cause this.

There's no easy way to check which add-on might be causing this. It would either have to be a process of elimination, or eliminate all and start again. Neither way is a particularly quick way, nor is either guaranteed to work.

Hopefully others here will have better ideas.

Mark
