I have everything up to date for XP, but I have a minor problem.

The icon for the IE7 isn't appearing.

If you are referring to no shortcut for the desktop, then create another from within the program.

Start > Programs ... Somewhere on the list you will find IE7 listed. Right click and "create shortcut". Drag the second shortcut (just created) to the desktop and release. You now have an IE7 icon.
