By default, the AutoDial feature will connect to the Internet automatically depending on what you do on the local computer and you want to control the dial-up manually (CP, Performance and Maintenance, Administrative Tools, then double-click Services and the Remote Access Auto Connection Manager. Click Stop to shutdown the service, set the Startup type at Disabled, and then click OK).
Note: To connect to the Internet manually, use whatever Internet connection you specified in Network Connections.

I have turned off every auto-update feature in the control panel and in internet options, but everytime my computer boots up ie6 opens automatically and goes to the windows update page. Homepage is set to Google, and when I click the Home button, it goes to Google just fine.
Any Suggestions?
