When SP2 was released, I reformatted my hard drives and installed fresh copies of Windows XP from the latest set of CDs. Thus, I've never had IE5 installed on my computers. Thinking your folder must be a remnant from IE5, I navigated to my Temporary Internet Files folder, and lo and behold, ''content.IE5.'' Apparently when Microsoft created IE6, they forgot to rename some of the files accordingly. Perhaps when IE7 is released, it will have ''content.IE6'' or even ''content.IE5.5'' in it. ![]()
Hope this helps,
John
I'm using IE6 on XP Home Edition.I've been having problems with internet friezing and links in emails not working.Today I checked my temp folder and found that in the temporary internet folder is one called ''content IE5''.
I don't get this,I updated to 6 ages ago but now when I try re-installing 1E6 it stops and tells me setup has detected a newer version on the computer.
