Question

IE10

Mar 1, 2013 11:12AM PST

What is the opinion on IE10 for the people who are using it?
I only know one person who has it, but it is on Windows 8, which he hates so that's not a good person to ask.
I have Windows 7 64bit and would like a opinion from someone with the same setup.
I see one person on the forum who has it and wants to roll back to IE9, but doesn't say what Windows he is using.
Thanks
Wayne

Answer
Not much difference.

I guess not many are using IE10.
I downloaded it and see very little difference than IE9, other than it seems faster and doesn't stutter on some of the sites I go to like IE9 did.
Have not had any problems with any programs I use or sites I go to.
Microsoft must have got the word on the time out problems because that doesn't happen with IE10. No more getting into the registry to change that.
So far so good.

couple problems
Mar 6, 2013 1:42AM PST

After using IE10 for a couple days, problems did pop up so went back to IE9.
The program "Auto Sizer" no matter the version won't work with IE10. Not a real big deal, but annoying.
Also, won't let me into Comcast web mail site. Just sets there and spins. I have no problem at all with IE9 or Firefox with the above two things. There may be more things, I just didn't see them.
I liked the speed and smoothness of IE10 so will wait about 6 months and try it again. Microsoft is working on other problems with the program, so will wait and see.

I don't have any problems with accessing comcast, in fact, I am on comcast writing this response. Darrell

Comcast

I had no problem getting to the comcast/xfinity website. Where I had the trouble was clicking on e-mail envolope in the left pane to read my e-mail. It would just set there and spin. It doesn't do that with IE9 or Firefox.
As I said, I like the speed and smoothness of IE10 and will try it again later.

Answer
I put IE10 on a test machine, not much difference
Mar 7, 2013 12:39AM PST

To tell the truth I haven't noticed much difference in IE versions since they came out with tabbed browsing a few years ago. I usually wait until a year after new versions of Windows, IE, and Windows Live stuff when I can. Frankly I don't think any version of IE works as well as Firefox and Chrome.

Know what you are saying.

I actually use both IE and Firefox.
I have a Alienware computer that had a glitch in the OS when I first received it. Dell had to get into it remotely to straighten it out. That could only be done through IE. I think there are a few other companies the same way.
I hear people say never let anyone get into the computer remotely they can steal your information. That didn't enter into it because I hadn't put anything on it yet, but it was something I thought about if it ever had to be done again.

I am on windows 7 and have downloaded IE10, it works well most of the time but when viewing an article with 10 to 15 screens the system freezes and I have to refresh the screen 2 to 3 times
