IE Windows XP won't close!

by LilyArden / August 19, 2008 12:48 AM PDT

How do I fix my Windows XP IE? Starting a couple of months ago the window freezes/won't close. This goes on all day, every day. I unistalled and reinstalled and still the same thing. I use Kaspersky security.

If IE7, disable all addins.

If IE6, delete all BHO (see google) entries. I use HIJACKTHIS (see google.)

If I disable them how will things work? Will I get messages that I must enable things (and will they still be there if I disabled them)???

IE doesn't need BHO to work. It's a common problem so I share how we tackle it.
